How to use Jaunts

Jaunts is a free travel itinerary planner. Forward your booking confirmation emails and Jaunts builds your day-by-day itinerary automatically. Here's how to use every feature.

Getting started

  1. Create a free account with your email address and a password. No credit card needed.
  2. Create your first trip — give it a name and optionally add travel dates. Jaunts can also infer dates from your bookings.
  3. Set a reminder to receive an email summary of your itinerary 1 day, 3 days, 1 week, or 2 weeks before you depart.

Adding bookings

There are four ways to add bookings to a trip:

Jaunts recognises over 20 booking types: flights, ferries, hotels, campsites, restaurants, theme parks, trains, buses and coaches, cruises, car hire, motorhome hire, holiday cottages and villas, parking, taxi transfers, show tickets, spa and activities, travel insurance, visa and entry requirements, and general activities.

Your itinerary

Your trip page shows your bookings in two views:

Jaunts also analyses your itinerary and highlights potential gaps — like a night without accommodation, or missing transport between two locations.

Splitting costs

Enable cost tracking on a trip to record who paid for what. Jaunts shows the total trip cost, each booking's cost, who paid what, and the minimum set of payments needed to settle up fairly between travellers. Non-GBP amounts are converted using European Central Bank exchange rates.
